Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay’s community programs are funded by material and financial donations. We appreciate your support, helping us help more people in need.
Donated goods from individuals and businesses support Goodwill’s community services. These donations of used goods are sold in our 28 retail stores, one outlet store, and online which provide both job training sites for our participants as well as revenue to support our workforce development programs. Attended Donation Centers are located throughout the tri-county area and are open seven days a week. At these sites, Goodwill staff can provide assistance with unloading your donations and also provide you with a tax receipt. We accept and sell vehicles at our Oakland headquarters. For a full list of what we material donations we accept, please see our Donation Guidelines.
Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay accepts vehicle donations, including cars, trucks, vans, and boats. Unlike a number of other charities, which contract with for-profit companies that sell the automobiles and give the charity pennies on the dollar for your contribution, 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of your automobile donation will go to Goodwill to support our community programs. For more information on donating your automobile or boat, please call our headquarters at (510) 698-7200.
