Donations
Goodwill’s community programs are funded by material and financial donations.
Material donations
Donated goods from individuals and businesses support Goodwill’s community services. These donations of gently-used goods are sold in our 26 retail stores, which provide both job training sites for our participants as well as revenue to support our workforce development programs. Attended Donation Centers are located throughout the tri-county area and are open seven days a week. At these sites, Goodwill staff can provide assistance with unloading your donations and also provide you with a tax receipt. We accept and sell vehicles at our Oakland headquarters. For a full list of what we material donations we accept, please see our Donation Guidelines.
Financial Donations
Goodwill’s community programs are also supported by financial contributions from community members, community and private foundations, and corporations. All of these charitable contributions go to our community programs, and Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay has an excellent record of spending 91 cents of every dollar donated directly on services. The more donations we receive, the more disadvantaged and disabled people we can help. You can donate online through our Goodwill Industries International secure site or by sending a check to us at the below address:

Vehicle Donations
Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay accepts vehicle donations, including cars, trucks, vans, and boats. Unlike a number of other charities, which contract with for-profit companies that sell the automobiles and give the charity pennies on the dollar for your contribution, 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of your automobile donation will go to Goodwill to support our community programs.
