    Material Donations

Donated goods from individuals and businesses support Goodwill’s workforce development services. Your generous donations of clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, electronics and household items are sold in our Retail Stores and E-commerce site. The revenues are used to provide job training and job placement services for local residents. Attended Donation Centers are located throughout the tri-county area and are open seven days a week. At these sites, Goodwill staff provide assistance with unloading your donations and will hand you a tax deductible receipt. All Goodwill locations accept donations. For a full list of what material donations we accept, please see our Donation Guidelines.

Goodwill’s workforce development programs are also supported by financial contributions from community members, businesses and private foundations. Our job training, job placement and support services are in the highest demand. The more financial donations we receive, the more people we can help place into competitive jobs. You can make a financial donation online through our secure site or by sending a check to us at the address below:

    Vehicle Donations

We accept vehicle donations, including cars, trucks, vans, and boats. Unlike a number of other non-profit organizations, which contract with for-profit companies to sell the vehicles, the proceeds from the sale of your vehicle donation go directly to Goodwill to support our workforce development programs. For more information on donating your automobile, truck or boat, please call our headquarters at (510) 698-7200.
