Dear Supporters,

As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads, the world around us is changing rapidly. And while many things are changing, our commitment to creating jobs has not changed.  First, and most importantly, your Safety and that of our Donors, Shoppers, and Employees is our top priority.

Also, I fully appreciate the uncertainty, anxiety, and questions some of you may have regarding how Goodwill might be impacted.    In adherence with the Bay Area “shelter-in-place” ordinance, all Goodwill retail stores, career centers, and donation centers in Solano, Contra Costa and Alameda counties will be closed through April 7th, 2020.

During this time and from your home there are several ways to support Goodwill of the Greater East Bay:

#1  Save your donations because once we start accepting donations again, every single donation will be needed now more than ever to provide jobs and services to people most affected by these unprecedented times.

#2  Please encourage others to refrain from dumping donations at our stores during this closure.  The dumping of donations burdens our organization and adds unnecessary costs we simply cannot afford at this time.

#3   Please feel free to give a financial donation online at https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/EastBayGoodwill/OnlineGiving.html

#4  Shop for Goodwill treasure online at https://eastbaygoodwill.org/shop-goodwill/

On behalf of the entire Goodwill Family, I want to thank you for your loyalty, trust, and understanding. Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this pandemic.

Sincerely,

Mike Keenan
